Teaching, Administration, and Substitute Teaching
These positions require certification by the state of New York . This category includes administrators, teachers, teacher aides, pupil personnel staff, etc.

All applicants must possess valid certification commensurate with the position sought in order to be considered.

Support Staff 
This category includes all clerical, monitor, food service, and custodial positions. These positions are governed by Nassau County Civil Service Law and procedures, and may include a competitive Civil Service test. In most cases, Nassau County Civil Service requires one year of Nassau County residency. Persons interested in applying for one of these non-certified or non-instructional jobs should send a letter of interest, resume, and copy of credentials.
