I.T. Music Department
Summer Music Theory Program for Grades 4-12

SPONSOR
The Summer Music Theory Program is sponsored by the Levittown/Island Trees Youth Council for the students residing in the Island Trees School District.

ELECTRONIC MUSIC/SYNTHESIZER TECHNOLOGY
Students in grades 4-12 (2008-2009) will have the chance to discover State-of-the Art technology offered in the Island Trees High School Electronic Music Lab in a "hands-on" environment. Students have fun learning the language of music while "jamming" on synthesizers!

No experience is needed and students will find themselves composing imaginary film scores and wonderful original music. The music lab is equipped with 18 Korg sequencing workstations in a stereo setup, and the concepts of composing, arranging, mixing and producing are easily accessible for musicians on any level. Students will be able to make cassette and CD recordings of their compositions to take home and show off! The Island Trees music lab is one of the best equipped in any school and this is an opportunity not to be missed.

The Summer Music Theory Program is scheduled to run from Monday, June 30, 2008 through Friday, July 11, 2008 at the I.T. High School. The summer music theory program will be closed on July 4th.
