Special Library Media Center Programs  

• Author/Illustrator Visits: Throughout the school year, the Library Media Center sponsors visits from authors and illustrators. The artists are invited to discuss with the children their talents. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to have their questions answered about the book making process. At this time, students are also given the chance to purchase autographed copies of artist's work at discount prices.

• District-Wide Library Media Center Field Trip: Two students from each of the third and fourth grade classes are selected to accompany the librarian on a field trip to the Barnes and Noble Bookstore. The children have a great time selecting books which will be added to the library media center collection.

• Book Nook: In the spring of every year Book Nook is published. It consists of book reviews written by students in grade 3 and above. These book reviews are chosen from reviews written throughout the year as part of the library media center program.
