Special Programs and Activities

District-Wide Library Media Center Field Trip:

Two students from each third and fourth grade class are selected for a district-wide library media center field trip to a neighboring bookstore that has a wide selection of reading materials. While there, students choose books for recreational reading or that support curriculum. Students along with the librarian evaluate the selections.

Author/Illustrator Visits:

Throughout the year, authors and illustrators are invited to the school to share their talents with the students. At this time the students are given the opportunity to purchase autographed copies of their books at a discounted price.

Book Nook:

Book Nook is published in the spring of every year. It consists of reviews written by our students in Grades 3 and up. The book reviews are chosen from reviews that are written throughout the year as part of the Library Media Center program.
