IT Finishes THIRD Place at the
Regional Science Bowl Competition 2018
Brookhaven National Lab hosted a Long Island Regional competition called National Science Bowl this past weekend. Teams are comprised of five students (one of which is an alternate) answering multiple choice and short answer questions in the categories of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Astronomy, and general questions in Earth and Computer Science. The competition consists of a round robin followed by a double elimination final.
The Island Trees High School team finished 3rd out of 20 competitive teams in the regional championship this year. The competition was fierce but there is no stopping our fab five: David Wendt, Kenneth Chan, Sheryl Lin, Stephen Black and Thomas Zamroz.
We congratulate our five amazing students for their outstanding performance at the Regional Science Bowl competition this year. Their academic diligence and rigor certainly has paid off!
