The Slime-y Steam Club!

The 4th grade STEAM Club at Stokes ended on a very messy note this week as they participated in a hands-on distance learning experience with the Ann Arbor Children's Museum in Michigan.  Students explored the three states of matter and the properties of polymers by making two types of SLIME!  Advisors Dan Cava, Christina Pesiri, Tracy Ingenito and Aaron Robertson got their hands slime-y as well!

STEAM Club members met weekly after school to participate in a variety of activities geared to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering, arts and math with challenges designed to test problem solving skills.  Students engineered roller coasters, created paper towers, worked on circuits with LITTLEBITS, and dabbled in computer programming with coding puzzles.   Enjoy the action shots!
