Bulldogs Alumni Athletics Update

Ryan Willoughby, Class of 2015, has been accomplishing special things as a college soccer player at the NCAA Division 1 level.  After having earned the title of Nassau Class "A" Player of the Year as an Island Trees boys varsity soccer player, he has continued to make huge strides at the collegiate level.

Ryan has been playing the past three seasons at Coastal Carolina, which has been a nationally ranked Top 25 team each of those seasons, finishing 9th in the nation this year.  It is customary for players to be red-shirted their first season when playing at this level.  Ryan not only played his first season, but was voted to the All-Freshman team as well.  He has been a starter for the past two seasons, and an integral part of a highly successful team that has won two conference championships and made three NCAA Tournament appearances.  This season the Chanticleers reached the Sweet 16- soccer's version of NCAA Basketball's March Madness Tournament!  Island Trees is not surprised by Ryan's accomplishments who was an outstanding leader and role model while he was here.  We wish him all the best in his soccer career as he continues to succeed at the collegiate level and proudly represents the true spirit of what it means to be an Island Trees Bulldog!
