Island Trees High School Environmental Club

Several members of the Environmental Club recently completed a birdhouse project for the High School courtyard.  With the natural habitat of birds being reduced each year, we are assisting them with a safe place to live. A simple birdhouse with the correct dimensions will provide safety from predators, warmth during the cold months and a place for breeding.

Did you Know:

Most Long Island birds are insectivores and naturally hunt flies, mosquitos, beetles and other pests. Put a birdhouse on your property and watch the pests disappear.
