Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Sparke!

The students and staff at J. Fred Sparke Elementary School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) through various school-wide activities!  Each day, a new Hispanic Phrase of the Day was introduced during the morning announcements for students and staff to use throughout the day.  Mrs. Schramm's and Mrs. Minotto's first grade class read the book Siesta, by Ginger Foglesong Guy, and learned the names of colors in Spanish.   Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Rodabaugh created a bulletin board featuring Hispanic books as well as faculty members with Hispanic Heritage.  What a great way to celebrate diversity!
