New Staff Members Enjoy Special Presentations

Each month, our new staff members meet to review best practices, explore district initiatives, and share day-to-day teaching experiences. Each new staff member brings a unique perspective to our meetings, adding to the shared experience. Occasionally, special presenters visit our meetings to broaden our knowledge base and inspire us to utilize various resources designed to engage our students.

Recently, our group was joined by Mrs. Lisa Marshall, District Library Media Department Chairperson, who shared a variety of useful databases, eBook collections, and digital library resources, such as Infobits, Scholastic BookFlix, and Findit. Almost immediately, a number of staff members were able to utilize these resources in their lessons.

In addition, Mr. Jim Conklin, our district's instructional technology staff developer, facilitated an engaging technology share, exploring formative assessment tools such as Poll Everywhere and Nearpod.

Thank you to Mrs. Marshall and Mr. Conklin for sharing resources to improve teaching and learning.
