Every November the Achieve 3000 Program sponsors a reading contest to motivate students and help improve their reading skills. This year's "Read to Succeed" contest was won by Mrs. Devine's grade 7 Reading and Writing Workshop students. They scored more reading points (on average, per student) than any other class in the school!
This special group of students decided to spend their winning gift certificate on toys that they then donated to the Cohen Children's Medical Center. To reward them for their generosity and to celebrate their reading success the students were treated to a pizza party.
The students are:
Alex Cassar, Dylan Neuendorf, Mike Porcelli, Frank Sarchie, and Stephanie Vasquez
Congratulations to Mrs. Devine and her successful seventh graders!!!
