Island Trees Girls Soccer Goalie Earns Top Recognition!

Kaeley Johnston finished up her high school soccer career winning the most prestigious honor for a goalie, the Howie Gould Award. She was honored at the Nassau County Girls Soccer Association with this award, which is presented to the most talented goalie in all of Nassau County. Kaeley's high school career in net was remarkable. In her Junior year, she finished the season with 9 shutouts and 134 saves. She placed second in the county for saves, ten below the top keeper. This season, she was a true Bulldog in the net as she topped the Saves List  with 167 saves. Kaeley's soccer career will continue next year at The Citadel in South Carolina where we are sure she will continue to set records.  Great job Kaeley!
