Empowering Our Ninth Grade Girls

 

The Hance Family Foundation's Beautiful Me Program Runs Again at Island Trees HS

On Thursday, December 1st, the Beautiful Me program successfully completed its third workshop at the high school - this time with the current ninth grade girls!  The girls reported that they had a blast while completing hands-on activities designed to build self-esteem, advocacy, confidence, and leadership skills.  

Thank you to the following individuals and organizations for making this possible:

-The Hance Family Foundation for bringing this wonderful program to our school free of charge 

-Mr. Villone and the custodial crew for helping to set-up and break down the event

-The PTA for providing the girls with a delicious bagel breakfast
