Dear Island Trees Community,

 

 

It is with great pride that we recognize the achievements of all of the Island Trees athletic teams listed below for being the recipients of the New York State Scholar Athlete Award for the Fall 2009 season! This award is presented by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, which governs interscholastic athletes. It is a truly prestigious award as this award recognizes those teams that have a designated number of student/athletes with a mean average over 90.   Although this is a team award, each athlete should be proud of their individual achievements which made this possible.  It is the combined efforts of the individuals who strive for both academic and athletic excellence. Achieving the Scholar Athlete Team award is a true confirmation of the student-athlete concept.
