Under the direction of Mrs. Hannah Klein, the Island Trees High School French Club organized a successful fundraiser to help those suffering in Haiti. In keeping with the theme of “Helping Rebuild Haiti, One Brick at a Time,” students sold paper “bricks” to faculty, staff, students, and community members in order to build their “Wall of Hope.” Generous donations ranged from small change to $100.00! Their remarkable efforts resulted in raising $1,000.00 dollars for the American Red Cross. Mrs. Klein and her philanthropic efforts have had a two-fold effect: raising awareness in our students and rousing the famous Island Trees spirit!
