On Friday, February 12,
2010, the third and fourth graders from
Sparke and Stokes Elementary Schools in
Island Trees were treated to a live
performance of Jigsaw Jones and the Case
of the Class Clown. The students
enjoyed watching some of their favorite
characters come to life. Through songs
and dialog, they were introduced to
characters and plot, as well as
familiarized with detective vocabulary,
and problem solving techniques. The
cast of four talented actors not only
sang and acted but also changed scenery
and props as they went about doing what
they obviously love. BRAVO, to the
actors who connected the clues and facts
so skillfully and to our students for
being such an engaged audience.
This production was
arranged for by Susan Mendelson,
District Library Chairperson and was
performed by Arts Powers, National
Touring Theatre.
