Dear Island Trees School Community,

Melissa Matovic, a school psychologist at Sparke and Stokes Elementary Schools, successfully defended her dissertation last week.  As a result, Ms. Matovic becomes Dr. Matovic – she will be awarded a doctor of psychology degree from St. John’s University. 

Her study, entitled, “The Efficacy of Mystery Motivator with Kindergarten and Fourth Grade Students”, examines the effectiveness of a positive behavioral intervention known as the “Mystery Motivator.”  We are proud to have Dr. Matovic as our colleague and school psychologist.  Congratulations to Dr. Matovic!
