Stokes P.T.A. host Book Swap Night

Michael F. Stokes students and their families recently participated in our annual Book Swap Night hosted by our P.A.R.P. Committee. The students had a wonderful time choosing from a large variety of generously donated books. In addition, there were a number of guest readers that included Councilman Hudes who read a newly published story about the importance of our natural resources.  Stokes wonderful secretaries, Kathy and Kathy dressed up as “Thing 1” and “Thing 2” and chorally read a Dr. Seuss selection. Our dedicated hall monitor, Vic, read two delightful Curious George adventures as a special guest, Curious George sat by his side. Mr. McDonald, an active and involved parent read a story about the importance of recycling and the New York City Sanitation process. He distributed coloring books and key chains to the children.

A great time was had by all!
