TENTATIVE DATES FOR 2009-2010 BUDGET PREPARATION

Wed., Oct. 22, 2008     -     Budget material from Business Office to all Administrators.

Tues., Dec. 2                -     Administrators return all completed budget pages to Ms. DiCapua

                                          in the Business Office.

Mon., Jan. 5, 2009      -     Petitions for Board Trustee available in District Clerk’s office.

Date to be determined  -     Board of Education meets to review entire budget proposal.

-          Business Office prepares budget in outline form for presentation

      at May 5th Budget Hearing.

Fri., April 3                  -     First Legal Notice published in local newspapers (3 additional mailings to follow prior to vote)

Wed., April 8                -     Applications for Absentee Ballots available in District Clerk’s office.

Mon., April 20             -     Petitions for Board Trustee due in District Clerk’s office no later

                                          than 5PM.

-          FAX Property Tax Report Card to Levittown Tribune for publication

      in April 24th issue.

Tues., April 21             -     Drawing for ballot placement – 9:00 AM District Clerk’s Office

                                    -     Board of Education Meeting to adopt 2009-2010 Budget.

                                    -     Board of Education Meeting to vote on BOCES 2009-2010

                                          Administrative Operations Budget.

Wed., April 22               -     Property Tax Report Card submitted to SED

Tues., April 28             -     Adopted Budget available in the district schools.

Thurs., April 30           -     Budget Newsletter mailed to residents.

Tues., May 5                -     Registration for Budget Vote, 4 PM to 8 PM in District Clerk’s office.

                                          ALSO:  Open registration on all school days –

                                          9 AM to 3 PM in the Office of the District Clerk, Gallow School,

                                          up to and including Thursday, May 14, 2009.

                                    -     Budget Hearing, 8 PM, General Purpose Room in the Geneva N.

                                          Gallow School.

Tues., May 12              -     Budget Postcard reminder to residents.

Date to be determined  -     “Meet the Candidate”

Tues., May 19              -     BUDGET VOTE & TRUSTEE ELECTION

                                          12 Noon to 9 PM Gymnasium in the M. F. Stokes School
